10 Boudoir Props You May Not Have Thought of For Your Boudoir Photoshoot
10 GREAT ACCESSORIES FOR A SUPER HOT BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT – BOUDOIR PROPS
This is your Boudoir Photoshoot so we will work with you to ensure your pictures work with your particular style. You may not want any accessories that don’t speak about who you are. Alternatively, you may want some inspiration and some props to help you create a fantasy photoshoot or add a little fun into the mix. Boudoir props and accessories can also give us more posing ideas to work with
1. FLOWERS AND PETALS
What girl doesn’t love flowers? We also incorporate a floral element if we venture outside during the shoot. (Which we try to do as often as possible ) Imagine you on a bed of roses or in a rose bath. Heck, even the rooms at Hazlewood are named after flowers so this is a match made in heaven.
2. BEDSHEETS AND NETS/CURTAINS ETC
Sheets are an essential boudoir prop that makes getting naked a little less scary. If you’re going for a classy, simple look then stick to white sheets. This is the look Marilyn Monroe made iconic.
3. FISHNETS
Fishnet tights or stockings can give an edgy look and are so sexy. Fishnet tights are flattering on pretty much every body type.
4. FAUX FUR OR FUR COATS / FEATHERS
5. JEWELRY
Jewelry is a simple, easy accessory you can add to your boudoir shoot. You can it in addition to your lingerie or even with nothing at all. Long pearl necklaces always look good and add a little vintage glam. In fact, why not drip your body in pearls. There’s no such thing as too much. Change your earrings with each outfit change and don’t forget your rings. A big shiny rock will really ‘rock’ your shoot.
6. ANTIQUE FURNITURE
This is something we have in abundance at Hazlewood Castle. The building itself is listed in the Doomsday Book and is stuffed with amazing period pieces such as open log fires with sweeping, ornate surrounds, 4 poster beds, velvet curtains, large mirrors, nude statues, Chesterfield furniture. Oh my gosh… The whole place is a feast for the eyes and perfect for a classy, old-world boudoir style shoot. The use of antique sofas, chairs, and beds make for an irresistibly romantic scene.
7. A MAN’S SHIRT
Often forgotten amongst boudoir photographers but something we always recommend our clients bring. There’s something that’s so sexy about a woman wearing her man’s shirt. Make sure your shirt is a size or two larger than what you normally wear and undo as many buttons as you dare. Oh, and while you’re rummaging around in your man’s wardrobe for his shirt what about one of his silk ties? or his favorite old band t-shirt? How about his favorite hat or that fancy pants watch you bought him last year for your wedding anniversary? Won’t he blush a bit when he sees your album!?!
8. ANYTHING THAT SPARKLES AND GLISTENS
9. YOUR MAN’S UNIFORM
– Policeman? Fireman? Business Suite?
10. SPORTS GEAR
Workout gym outfit, boxing gloves, anything branded
After a Boudoir session with Madison Bou, you will be able to get pictures that will last for a lifetime.
